I chose this picture because I love the emotion shown through the picture. The fact that this girl is lying in the ruins of her town shows the despair and sadness of what has become of the town. The girls facial expression is my favorite part of this photo because it helps summarize the emotion of the photo. My favorite kind of photography is pictures shown with emotion and stories behind them. Carol Guzy is an amazing photographer because she focuses more on the emotion in the pictures rather than just the picture itself. She shows how life really is and tries to bring the reality and harshness of life all around the world in her pictures. Carol Guzy is one of the most famous American journalists of all time.

I agree, this photograph shows a large amount of emotion, but captured with a spontaneous feel - or spurt of the moment, which is difficult. You will definitely like photojournalism then.
